This 1st Model Jungle Fatigue Jacket was adopted during the early stages of the Vietnam War. It is a collector’s item featuring details unique to the early model—such as epaulets, distinctive pocket shapes, and exposed buttons—that are not found in later models. The size is estimated to be SMALL-LONG.

The early production runs, manufactured around 1963–1964, had a short production run and are now very rare, making this one of the most sought-after models among Jungle Fatigue jackets.Designed for combat in tropical regions, it is made of lightweight cotton poplin. This iconic U.S. military combat jacket supported soldiers in the hot and humid conditions of Vietnam.

The size is estimated to be Small-Regular or Small-Long.

The name tag and U.S. ARMY tape are attached, though both may have been added later. Additionally, there are traces of a removed patch on the chest, and authentic signs of use by soldiers can be seen throughout the jacket.

The fading, scuffs, and minor scratches resulting from years of use are by no means flaws; rather, they give this jacket a unique character all its own. This is a piece that lets you fully appreciate the authentic vibe of a well-worn garment—something you simply won’t find in brand-new or mint-condition items.

It’s perfect not only for a collection but also for incorporating into your everyday wardrobe as vintage wear, where it exudes exceptional character. The presence that comes from being a well-worn piece is truly the charm unique to the 1st Model.
