This is the mid-term version of the Jungle Fatigue Jacket, commonly known as the 3rd model, which was adopted by the U.S. military in the 1960s as combat uniform for the tropics. This one is a 1969 contract (DSA100-69-C-0727), made of lightweight and strong cotton poplin, and combines practicality and breathability. It is also a good size, MEDIUM-REGULAR.
The "U.S. ARMY" tape remains on the chest, and the name and rank insignia have already been removed, but the texture of the removal marks gives it a realistic worn-in feel. The text on the product tag can also be read clearly, indicating that the item has not been subjected to so much harsh use. Overall, the fabric is still taut, and although there are some light stains, it is in very good condition for an actual military item.
The 3rd model has well-balanced specifications that fall between the early models (1st and 2nd) and the late model (4th).
