We have received a 1969 contract M-65 Field Jacket (2nd Model) that captures the authentic atmosphere of the Vietnam War era. Sizes available: SMALL–REGULAR.
Among the many M-65 jackets, the 2nd Model—produced for only a brief period—is a rare find that strongly retains the details and atmosphere unique to early production runs. This particular piece features the iconic aluminum zippers, offering a light yet rugged look distinct from the brass zippers found on later models.
Manufactured in 1969, right in the midst of the Vietnam War, this jacket has clearly survived that era. While it shows moderate signs of wear, the fabric remains in excellent condition, presenting an ideal state of “well-worn yet still in active service.” With no excessive damage, it is a beautifully balanced vintage piece.
Of course, the polished design—featuring epaulets, four pockets, and a stand-up collar with a built-in hood—is a highlight, but the fact that the details unique to the 2nd Model are still clearly present is also not to be missed. It possesses a powerful presence steeped in the historical context of the era, something that current models could never replicate. While it’s certainly a great addition to any collection, we also highly recommend wearing it regularly to let it develop its own character over time. It’s the real deal, allowing you to experience the authenticity of the Vietnam War era firsthand. Please note that as this is a used item, returns are not accepted.
