This is a 1969 contract orange liner L2-B light zone flight jacket for the L2-B light zone. It is a mid-period model without pocket flaps, has a SIL PURSE (Central Command Europe) locally made patch, a colonel's rank insignia and a name patch. It has an officer's chief aircrew patch, which indicates that he was an aircrew member. This L2-B has some signs of use, but is in excellent condition with stains and ribbing with excellent rank insignia.

The L2-B is a flight jacket developed for pilots of fighter planes and other aircraft flying at low altitudes, known as light zones. The original was the A-2 flight jacket from the WWII era. The L2-B was then adopted after the L-2 and L2-A, and was used from the 1950s until the mid-1970s. The L2-B was used from the 1950s until the mid-1970s, after which the CWU-36P and other models followed. Originally developed as a flight jacket for U.S. Air Force pilots, it was also used by Army helicopter pilots as well as Air Force pilots during the Vietnam War. Unlike the MA-1 of the same model, this jacket is lightweight and is not intended for use at temperatures below 10 degrees Celsius, so we recommend that you wear it inside if you plan to wear it in cold weather. By doing so, you can enjoy it without problems.

Sleeve ribs and other parts are worn. There are also some stains on both the front and back of the garment, indicating that it has actually been worn. The liner is also in relatively clean condition. This jacket is not for those who are looking for perfect condition, but for those who prefer a used condition jacket with some signs of use. It is a used item and cannot be returned. Please understand.
