The shell and hood were both made in 1983, and only the liner was made in 1973, so although the years are slightly different, they match well and are in extremely good condition with almost no signs of wear. Overall, it is in very clean condition, worn only a few times, and is quite beautiful for a vintage military piece.

The cotton/nylon blend shell in OG-107 color is durable and water repellent, and is fully functional with fishtail and drawcord waist and hem. The padded liner for added warmth is solid and thick, and the detachable hood has a synthetic fur to keep out cold wind and snow.

Although the size is SMALL (33-37" chest circumference), the M-65 hoodie's unique loose-fitting construction allows it to be worn over a heavy sweatshirt or sweater with plenty of room to spare. Depending on the inner layer, this is a reliable outer layer that can cope with the harsh cold of midwinter. The waist can be adjusted to size using a drawcord.

The most distinctive feature of the M-65 parka is that it has been improved to cope with colder weather while retaining the M51's aspect.
