The 3rd model Jungle Fatigue Jacket is known as the representative tropical combat uniform among US military jackets. This is a custom short-sleeved model with U.S. Air Force Air Police (MP) specifications, which is extremely rare among them. The size is LARGE-SHORT.

The year of manufacture is estimated from the tag to be around 1967. It is believed to have been worn by the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War for security and police duties in the tropics. The Air Force rank insignia patches on both shoulders and "U.S. AIR FORCE" name embroidery on the chest tell us that this is a real "live" piece that was tailored and used locally. All patches and other items are as they were at that time.

Originally long-sleeved, this item has been converted to short-sleeved by the local or soldier's own hands. This functional modification was made in anticipation of operation in hot and humid regions, and is attractive for its lightness and breathability when worn. This modification was especially favored by the Navy and Air Force. The entire garment is still glued, and its unique luster and crisp texture are still present.
