Introducing the WINDPROOF camouflage pants worn by the British SAS (Special Air Service) during World War II. These pants are also called "brushstroke camouflage" by collectors, but they are identical. The SAS is a historical unit that is still active as a special forces unit in the British Army, and at the time of WWII was active in sabotage, airborne operations, assault operations using vehicles, etc. The camouflage for them was used in these pants. After WWII, these pants were used by French paratroopers in the Indochina War, and are also famous for their camouflage. In the Indochina War, the same fabric was used to make paratrooper pants, and the smock was modified with a custom zipper to make it easier to put on and take off, and this camouflage was active until the 1950s.

The pants introduced here do not have size labels, so the date of manufacture and size are unknown. They are estimated to have been manufactured around 1943-44. Originally made with a large waist, these pants were designed for use in airborne operations. The item is used, not unused, and has some fading and stains. The fading is also somewhat generalized. The straps used to tie the waist are still in place and the straps are not frayed in the slightest. Please note that the fabric at the base of the straps is prone to tearing if tightened too forcefully when worn. The strap seems to have been damaged once and has been repaired. There are no missing buttons, and although it is difficult to see in the photos, the ankle adjusters are still in place on both legs. This is a very rare item, so please do not miss it if you are looking for it. Because it is a used item, it cannot be returned. Please understand.
