This is a dead stock 1961 U.S. Air Force L2-B flight jacket. The L2-B has been in multiple variations over the years, but the L2-B of the early 60's model retains the characteristics of the 50's model, as well as the sage green body, rescue orange inner lining, and other common features of later flight jackets. The L2-B is a flight jacket that retains the characteristics of the 1950s model while also retaining the sage green body, rescue orange inner lining, and other features common to later flight jackets. The L2-B was developed as the successor to the WWII A-2 leather jacket, so unlike the MA-1, the L2-B has the overall liner of the MA-1.
