This boonie hat was privately procured in Saigon and other locales during the Vietnam War and is made of three different types of tiger stripe fabrics. The crown is made of Okinawan Tiger fabric, the brim and top are made of Late War fabric, and part of the brim is made of Gold Tiger fabric. It is thought that the boonie hats were made from scraps and torn shirts that were left over from that time and used in combat. All of the fabrics are faded, and the stains on the hat inner lining suggest that the fabrics were originally faded. There are other boonie hats with tiger fabric mixed in, but these existing boonie hats themselves are very rare. Judging from the fabric used, it was probably procured in the late 1960s. This is one of the most attractive boonie hats among the Tiger Stripe boonies, and is not one of the factory-made hats. Don't miss out! This is a used item and cannot be returned.
